As an administrator, I want the application to check its configuration when it starts and fail immediately with a clear, specific error when something is missing or invalid, instead of silently falling back to a default or breaking later inside an unrelated feature. This feature.\n\nThis should apply consistently across every configurable subsystem (authentication providers, email, security, etc.), not just some of them.
